New Executive Director at Wolf Haven International!

Wolf Haven International is pleased to welcome Diane Gallegos as their new Executive Director. Diane has worked at Habitat for Humanity Seattle South King County since 1999 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer.

“We are delighted that Diane will be joining Wolf Haven as Executive Director,” said Steve Siera, president of Wolf Haven’s board of directors. “We are excited by her training and experience in biology and with environmental issues and her many years of executive level experience with not for profit organizations.  We were all impressed with her ability to understand the many different aspects of the Wolf Haven operation and to communicate with the staff and board members.  We look forward to working with her as she leads us as we continue to provide a sanctuary for captive bred wolves and work to educate individuals about wolves and their role in the environment”.

Diane serves on the Build the Bridge Coalition and chairs the housing committee as part of the 21st Century Housing Challenge. She has served as a leader in nonprofit management for over 20 years including positions with Puget Sound Blood Center, Girl Scouts and the Boys and Girls Club.  Early in her career she worked as a biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service.  Diane earned a master’s degree in resource management from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of New Mexico.  Diane is a past president of the Rotary Club of SeaTac and currently serves as the International Chair.  She is also a facilitator for Girl Scouts of Western Washington and serves on the South King County Community Organizations Active in Disaster.  Diane has two grown children and currently lives in Auburn with her husband Tom and their dogs.
