Ruby is a female red wolf that was born in 2006 at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center located in Glen Rose, Texas. She has been a Wolf Haven resident since 2007. Ruby is a little sprite; she hops, trots and zooms around her enclosure. Ruby is part of the Species Survival Plan (SSP) red wolf breeding program. These wolves are transferred between facilities regularly in order to facilitate optimum genetic diversity for future captive red wolf populations.
