Perimeter Fence: Once considered ‘in the country’, Wolf Haven sadly now finds itself surrounded by housing developments and other construction.  What this means is that more and more often we see uninvited visitors on our property at all times of the day and night.  That wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t have 55 animals and two human caretakers here that are potential put in danger every time this happens.  It is going to cost Wolf Haven over $200,000 to erect an 80-acre perimeter fence, but circumstances now tell us we must.

Water Delivery System: In 2009, a Wendy P. McCaw Foundation enabled us to begin installation of an in-sanctuary water delivery system to the wolf enclosures. During freezing weather, our animal care staff no longer needs to carry buckets of water to each site. The first phase of the new water system is completed, but additional funding is needed to extend the pipes to more wolf enclosures.
